northern christian Missionary Alliance Church
(NCMAC)

Our Story

The church began its first Sunday Service at the Preston Northcote Angling club building in July 2006 and with growth, it held its first official service in 2009. Prior to this, it was known as the Preston Bible Study Group which started in July, 2002 through the initiative of a group from the Western Community Alliance Church, who had a burden to reach out with the gospel to the Preston community and surrounding areas.

Church renamed as NCMAC

Two years after its official service, the church had a pastor and assumed the name Good News Christian Fellowship. In February 2016, Ps Nelson and Pastora Kim Koh on invitation, assumed the pastoral role, following which the name was changed to the
Northern Christian Missionary Alliance Church
to reflect its northerly location as well as its identity as a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Australia or C&MA in short.

Membership to the C&MA

The C&MA is a movement consisting of around 55 churches Australia-wide. NCMAC is also one among 8 current C&MA churches located around Melbourne, Victoria. The mission of the church is reflected in its Mission statement “To proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ  and make disciples by reaching out to the community and beyond.” In this regard, the church notes that it is part of a larger mission movement of the C&MA with churches.

We lay emphasis on Christ centredness and sound doctrinal preaching and teaching and in the making of disciples. At the same time, we seek a deeper life with God and in the discovery and application of our God given spiritual gifts

“so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(2 Tim 3:17)

Our LOGO

The symbols in our logo represent the
fourfold gospel of the sufficiency of Christ.

The cross, pitcher, laver and crown join to illustrate our central theme in the Christian and Missionary Alliance. That is: Jesus Christ is our Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King.
